The vh2.nl forum is back online after a longer downtime. This was caused by moving the domain to a new server and the new forum software. The domain had to be needed to move to a new server because the old one was a bit outdated and had some realy strange settings. We made a soft opening one week ago to see how everything works and to fix some things at the new forumsoftware.

After working with the Simple Machines Forum (SMF) several years now we realized a new forumsoftware was needed. SMF is a realy nice open source software but it's getting updated to often. Those updates can be troublesome with addons which havn't be released by the SMF crew. After taking a look at different open source software we choosed to switch to the commercial software ipBoard. This one hits the most points which had to be needed for us. This software change took longer than exepted because the hole database had to be changed. IpBoard offers a converter of the database but this isn't working at all points. So the database must be changed manual at some spots. This havn't been done at all parts which can be seen at your signatures. Those arn't lost but don't getting displayed at the old posts yet. This will be fixed soon.

lost sections/posts?
Currently not all sections getting displayed at the forum. Some of them need to be reorganized and thats why they are hidden.

new look
We also made a new skin for this board so it hits for a gaming community. The forum supports only the default smileys at the moment. Some of the old one has a outdated look and will be remade soon. Thats why not all smileys getting displayed yet.
