I see 50x18=900 games listed at gamespot and its just 299$/€ i'd get it.. if i wanted a console.

The thing is that the ps3 is far more than just a gaming console. Basically its the only machine you need in your house to be able to do... everything.

By that i mean, equaly strong hardware + online connectivity for updates + harddisk.
Sure, the cheapest are reaching half price, but it would still be my #1 for a blu ray player, and hey, free game console !

But thats what the PS3 is, a blue ray player. As a gaming console it blows since it has almost no exclusive titles worth buying.

The PS3 is ever so slowly picking up, but its lost too much ground. I hate to say it but despite its rather shocking (literally at one point) technical problems Xbox360 still trumps the PS3 as a gaming device. Sony messed up big time with this one.

I don't really care for the politics of console wars that others enjoy so much.  I'm glad that there are at least 2 systems providing quality product for me to sample in my time off.  :heart:

I don't really care either, but the Xbox was faulty as fuck while the wii had almost nothing but party games for kids. I was looking forward to the PS3 because of the quality the previous two consoles provided, and they came out with an overpriced gameless doorstop. I'm sure it'll be worth buying eventually, its just a shame they lost so much ground.
